Com2uS Holdings launches ARES: The Iron Vanguard worldwide today on iOS, Android and PC, completing the transition from regional testing to full commercial operation. Developed by Second Dive, the science-fiction action RPG supports cross-play and is built around a Suit Change system that lets players swap between two combat configurations during battle. Four classes — Engineer, Warlord, Hunter and Warlock — provide different weapons and abilities, while combat incorporates parries, perfect dodges and combos.
The game also includes large-scale raids, cooperative boss encounters, PvP and seasonal endgame content. ARES previously ran an Early Access test across six regions in August, allowing Com2uS to gather data on service stability before today's wider opening. The project is another example of Korean publishers pushing technically ambitious RPGs simultaneously across mobile and PC rather than developing a reduced smartphone edition.
Server stability and monetisation will now become the key tests as a much larger global audience arrives.
