Saints Row: The Third Remastered mobile port targets October 29

Feral Interactive has confirmed that Saints Row: The Third Remastered will arrive on iOS and Android on October 29 for $19.99. Announced on September 11, the conversion is one of the more ambitious premium mobile ports currently scheduled for the autumn. Rather than producing a simplified spin-off, Feral is adapting the remastered version of the full open-world action game for smartphones and tablets.

The mobile package is expected to include the remaster's bundled content, making the release another test of whether smartphone users will pay console-style prices for complete games. Feral has built a strong reputation for translating demanding PC and console titles to mobile while redesigning interfaces around touchscreens.

Saints Row presents a particularly difficult challenge because driving, shooting, camera control and movement all need to coexist comfortably without covering too much of the display with virtual buttons. Its October launch should provide another useful measure of the premium mobile market.
