PokéXciting Kuala Lumpur leaves behind a month-long mobile collectible

Pokémon's PokéXciting Kuala Lumpur celebration concluded its main weekend programme on September 13, but one of its most important Pokémon GO rewards remains available. The event introduced a turquoise-costumed PokéXciting Pikachu associated specifically with Kuala Lumpur, and the special variant is scheduled to remain obtainable in the city for approximately one month after the physical event.

The two-day celebration at KLCC Park combined mobile gameplay with Stamp Rallies, Field Research, special encounters and Gigantamax battles. Kuala Lumpur was the first stop in a wider anniversary programme that will subsequently visit cities including Taipei, Singapore, Manila and Bangkok. This combination of a real-world event and geographically limited digital collectibles demonstrates why Pokémon GO remains unusually effective as an experiential marketing platform.
