AXIL Brands launches its XCOR II wireless earbuds today, September 15, targeting a different part of the audio market from conventional consumer ANC products. The earbuds combine wireless listening with active noise reduction and hearing-protection functionality aimed at environments such as shooting ranges, industrial work and other high-noise settings. AXIL says the new generation has a lower-profile design, revised soundstage and charging case capable of providing four full charges.
The company reported more than $2.8 million in initial retail and distribution orders ahead of launch, which it described as its largest product-opening order volume to date. The XCOR II demonstrates how true-wireless technology is expanding into specialist niches. Features developed for everyday commuting — microphones, active processing and compact rechargeable batteries — can also be applied to protective equipment.
For AXIL, the challenge is convincing users that one pair of earbuds can provide both reliable hearing protection and the convenience expected from modern wireless audio.
