Petit Planet moves toward September 20 final beta on mobile and PC

HoYoverse is preparing the final beta for Petit Planet, with testing scheduled to begin September 20 across PC and selected iOS and Android devices. Recruitment closed on September 14, meaning attention now shifts toward invitations and the first large-scale look at how the cosy life simulation performs on smartphones.

Mobile requirements are substantial: Android testing calls for at least Android 9 with hardware around Snapdragon 855, Dimensity 1000 or Kirin 990 level and 6GB of RAM, while supported iPhones begin around the XS generation with some exceptions. Installation sizes are expected to be roughly 10–12GB. Progress can move between PC and mobile during the beta when players use the same HoYoverse account.

Petit Planet is an important diversification for the company behind Genshin Impact and Honkai because it replaces combat-heavy RPG progression with farming, fishing, exploration, seasonal activities and social interaction. The final beta should indicate whether HoYoverse can apply its cross-platform expertise just as effectively to the increasingly competitive cosy-game market.
