Pokémon GO is entering one of its busiest weeks of the year, with Halloween activities, new costumed Pokémon and several important raid changes scheduled between October 26 and November 1. Today's main attraction is Dynamax Sableye, which becomes available through Max Battles as part of the weekly rotation. Max Monday activities run between 6am and 9pm local time, giving trainers an opportunity to challenge the Ghost- and Dark-type Pokémon before the larger Halloween celebrations begin.
Halloween Part One officially starts on October 27 at 10am local time, introducing three new costumed Pokémon: Pikachu wearing a hat and capelet, Zubat wearing a top hat and Sinistea wearing a bow. Players can also participate in a Halloween GO Pass that unlocks additional Candy and Stardust bonuses as they progress through its reward tiers. October 28 brings another important change when Origin Forme Giratina enters the five-star raid rotation alongside Mega Sableye.
Later in the week, Gastly receives a dedicated Spotlight Hour featuring double Evolution XP. The Halloween programme culminates in a special Super Mega Chandelure Raid Day on October 31, followed by the beginning of Halloween Part Two on November 1. That second phase introduces Shiny Greavard and additional seasonal activities. The combination of new encounters, raid bosses and limited-time rewards gives both casual and dedicated players plenty of reasons to return.
However, event schedules vary according to local time zones, so trainers should check their in-game calendars before making plans. Apparently Halloween in Pokémon GO has become less about collecting sweets and more about organising an increasingly complicated appointment schedule with supernatural creatures.
