Princess Connect Re Dive Begins Umamusume Collaboration With Gold Ship and Racing Adventures

Cygames has launched a crossover between Princess Connect! Re:Dive and Umamusume: Pretty Derby, bringing several familiar horse girls into the fantasy world of Landosol. The event began on October 31 at noon Japanese time and runs until November 23. Its storyline follows Almond Eye, Lucky Lilac and Daring Tact after Gold Ship unexpectedly transports them into the virtual world of Legend of Astrum.

Unfortunately, Gold Ship subsequently disappears and is discovered in a rather unusual condition, leaving the visitors to work with the Gourmet Guild to solve the problem. Players participating in the event can recruit Gold Ship as a limited character and obtain materials needed to develop her abilities. Almond Eye also appears through a special recruitment campaign beginning October 31, while Lucky Lilac and Daring Tact will receive separate recruitment opportunities at dates to be announced.

The collaboration includes story quests, boss battles and promotional rewards. Cygames has additionally released a humorous commercial featuring a suspiciously enthusiastic character calling herself Karyl, with voice performances connecting both franchises. The partnership is particularly interesting because the two games share a publisher but offer substantially different experiences.

Princess Connect focuses on fantasy adventures and character development, while Umamusume revolves around training competitive racing celebrities. Apparently combining them was simply a matter of deciding that fantasy adventurers needed more athletic supervision. International players should remember that the confirmed schedule concerns the Japanese service.
