Pikmin Bloom has officially begun its fifth-anniversary celebrations, introducing a month of collectible decorations, special mushroom battles and rewards for players who enjoy turning ordinary walks into miniature adventures. The event runs from November 1 through November 30 and introduces eight varieties of 5th Anniversary Toy Jewelry Decor Pikmin. These small creatures wear colourful decorative jewels, giving collectors another complete set to pursue.

Previous anniversary decorations are also returning, including 4th Anniversary Flower Box Pikmin and 3rd Anniversary Cupcake Pikmin. Players can obtain seedlings by completing event challenges, with additional rewards including Acrylic Fruit Charms, flower petals and other useful resources. Clearing a challenge stage can unlock a guaranteed Gold Seedling when its central Big Flower blooms. Special Brilliant Mushrooms appear throughout the month, providing Mystery Boxes and other rewards.

Giant Brilliant Mushrooms are scheduled for November 1, November 7 and 8, November 14 and 15, November 21 and 22, and November 27 through 30. A Premium Event Pass provides additional opportunities to obtain seedlings and seasonal nectar, with an early-purchase bonus available during the opening week. Five years is an impressive achievement for a mobile game built around walking, collecting and occasionally asking tiny plant creatures to destroy enormous mushrooms.

Apparently the secret to long-term mobile gaming success is convincing everybody that going for a walk is actually an elaborate treasure hunt.
