Fortnite Treasure Hunters Launches Today With One Piece Pirates and New 80-Player Island

Fortnite's Treasure Hunters mini-season begins today, introducing an extensive One Piece collaboration and a new battle royale island. Epic Games has scheduled its first Captain's Day for November 1 at 9am Eastern Time, equivalent to 3pm in the Netherlands. The centrepiece is Crossbones Isle, an eighty-player battlefield featuring locations inspired by One Piece, including Arlong Park and Windmill Village.

Players can discover special abilities associated with familiar characters, including Luffy's Gum-Gum Fruit powers and Zoro's Three Sword Style. Cannons provide another method of travelling across the environment, while hidden treasures offer opportunities to obtain valuable equipment. Portgas D. Ace and Nico Robin headline the Battle Pass, with Luffy, Nami and Usopp arriving through the Item Shop. Epic is also introducing collaborations involving A$AP Rocky, Lil Uzi Vert, Hatsune Miku and Kasane Teto.

Additional captains and themed activities will appear throughout November. The season builds toward a major event scheduled for December 5. For mobile players, Treasure Hunters provides another substantial reason to return, although availability on iOS continues to depend on regional distribution arrangements. At this edition's cutoff, the scheduled start time had passed, but live server availability across every region had not been independently checked.

Apparently the Straw Hat pirates have discovered the ultimate treasure: an entire island populated by people enthusiastic about purchasing matching outfits.
